Stage 1 Inflammatory reaction stage

In such a stage, your creatinine level is normal and your kidney function is not impaired. And you may only have urine protein, occult blood, swelling, high blood pressure and other clinical symptoms.

Swelling and high blood pressure may make you feel discomfort, while other symptoms can not be felt.

You can be cured in stage 1, but because some patients do not attach importance to those silent symptoms, they miss the best time for cure. Therefore, it is important for you to do regular check-up.

Stage 2 Kidney function compensated stage

In such a stage, your kidney function is slightly impaired. But due to the compensated ability of kidneys, your body can still work normally. And your creatinine level will be at 133-177 umol/L.

Because at least 50% of kidneys are still in work, you seldom feel any discomfort, which may delay your treatment.

Timely and effective treatment can also help you achieve the goal of cure clinically.

Stage 3 Kidney function decompensated stage

In such a stage, your kidney function is severely damaged and your kidneys’ compensated ability can not satisfy the need of body. And your creatinine level will be at 178-442 umol/L. More than two thirds of kidney tissues have been damaged.

You will feel weak, but symptoms are still not that obvious. With timely and effective treatment, there is still 50% of possibility to be cured clinically.

Stage 4 Kidney failure stage

In such a stage, your creatinine level will be over 443 umol/L. Your kidneys’ compensated ability can not meet the damaged ones. And your kidney function can not be reversed.

You will have obvious symptoms, such as anemia, dizziness, weakness, nausea, etc. In some hospital, doctors may suggest dialysis.

Treatment in stage 4 focuses on preventing kidney tissues from being damaged further and protecting the residual kidney function.

Stage 5 Uremia stage

It takes about 15 years from chronic kidney failure to uremia. In such a stage, more than 90% of kidney tissues have been dead. And your kidneys have shrunken to less than 6cm. Besides, you may not produce urine.

You will have a lot of obvious symptoms, such as dizziness, nausea, vomiting, heart failure, weakness, etc. Because of high toxin concentration, other organs in your body will be damaged.

Treatment in this stage focus on maintaining your normal life and reducing body malaise.
