How does FSGS affect the body?
● Respiratory system. Patients may have shortness of breath, bad taste in mouth and urine smell in mouth. These problems are caused by fluid-retention on lungs.
● Bone problems. Renal osteopathy is the medical term of bone problems caused by FSGS. Damaged kidneys cannot activate vitamin D and maintain phosphorous level, resulting in bone problems, such as bone pain and osteoporosis.
● Anemia. FSGS patients have anemia because of reduction of red blood cells in the body. Damaged kidneys cannot produce enough EPO, a hormone that is essential for the generation of red blood cells. Therefore, FGSS patients develop anemia. Kidney Failure patients due to FSGS may bleeding in nose, gum and digestive tract.
Due to the above damage, Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis patients may present swelling, fatigue, urine changes, skin problems, high blood pressure and back pain, etc. Any questions, please email to us firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a message below.
How to prevent FSGS from damaging other parts of the body?
First of all, patients should keep a kidney-friendly diet to reduce the stress on kidneys. In general, FSGS patients are required to take low-sodium, protein, potassium and phosphorous intake.
Secondly, medication should be taken immediately to slow down the progression of FSGS. I recommend Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). They can improve blood circulation and enhance kidney function. Patients from about one hundred countries have been to China for our treatments, and they can regain a normal life.
